Evening Update: OGE Wind Storm - power restoration

  1. OG&E crews are visually inspecting lines to evaluate and assess damage and resources needed.  This inspection includes removing tree limbs from power lines if necessary.  Over 140 restoration personnel are working across our service area to restore service, as well as trim and tremove trees impacting service.
  2. OG&E crews will work throughout the night and into tomorrow to restore power as quickly and safely as possible until every customer is restored.
  3. OG&E customers can report outages at 800.522.6870 or by text when they sign up for myOGEalerts.
  4. High winds require our crews to take additional safety precautions, and as a result, some work can take longer than normal to perform.
  5. As we clear limbs in – or interfering with – power lines, vegetation crews will take tree and brush debris from the customer’s yard to the curb, but will not remove the debris.  The disposal of debris due to storms is the customer’s responsibility.
  6. Lastly, below and attached is a graphic outlining who is responsible for what in terms of trees and limbs.  Please take a moment to look at this graphic; it’s important to understand where OG&E’s responsbility ends, and the customer’s responsibility begins.
