City council seats that are up for election are Ward 3, Ward 4 and Ward at Large. If you are interested in running, the period of filing for the offices of council members being's on February 3, 2025, at 8:00am and closes on February 5, 2025, at 5:00pm. Filing for office shall be with the Secretary of the Oklahoma County Election Board in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

That each council member to be elected shall be an actual resident of the City of Spencer and registered voter, and the council members from wards shall be actual residents of their respective wards at the time of their candidacy and election. A candidate must also be a registered voter at an address within the municipality, or of the ward where the ward is for at least six (6) months prior to filing a declaration of candidacy. The election shall, in all respects, be governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma concerning candidate's qualifications.

A general election shall be held on April 1, 2025, to elect the candidates for the City Council. The City Council candidates for Ward 3, Ward 4 and Ward at Large will be nominated by ward and elected at large, by qualified voters of City of Spencer to serve a four-year term.
